“In my 45 years of teaching I have been exposed to many language and reading programmes, some of which I have introduced to students in a number of school settings in a variety of communities. Not one of these programmes has impacted on me anywhere near as much as Fast ForWord. Over the past 12 months and particularly since the recently completed 6 month trial, I have become a passionate supporter of this unique programme. The change of attitude displayed by the students, some of whom were struggling with literacy and/or suffering from autism, dyslexia and ADHD, has been quite sensational. I am now totally convinced that the mental aerobics involved does physically activate the areas of the brain associated with memory, concentration, attention, sequencing and processing information, which then leads to improved language and reading skills. Above all, the huge lift in self esteem and sense of self worth among these students has been noted with satisfaction. Perhaps, in time, all of our students may be able to experience this programme in their early years of schooling, thus making it preventative rather than curative. Fast ForWord may be the answer to the prayers of many parents and teachers.”
Barry Hancock, Principal, Samson Primary School

“At Comet Bay College we used Fast ForWord with a number of our Year 8 students. We noticed substantial gains for all students on the programme in self confidence and the ability to stay focused. By far our most significant gains were with our dyslexic, ADD, ADHD and (C)APD students. Marked improvements were noted across learning areas in literacy and learning in general. One ADD student who had been disruptive and spending large portions of time out of class made a marked ‘turn around’. Both his attitude and performance improved noticeably, largely, I think, due to the programmes positive influence on his capacity to read and listen more effectively. By doing this programme, you are actually getting those students before they’ve fallen off the bike. So many times they have just given up and are just purely disruptive influences. By building these skills early you’re being very proactive and getting long term gains.”
Bronwyn White, Deputy Principal, Comet Bay College

“James has improved so much at school and in general life it’s hard to believe. He joins in with conversations, is more outspoken, understanding instructions and his work as well as completing work on time, which has not happened much in the past. The teachers who have known James for a few years are even commenting on the difference.”
Jo-Anne, James’ mother (year six student)

“The children from my class who participated in Fast ForWord in Term 1 have displayed greatly improved confidence, self esteem and powers of concentrations. It’s quite amazing!”
Ted Campbell, Deputy Principal, Samson Primary School

“We found the training interesting, informative and it prepared our staff and parent monitors for what was expected of them in the task ahead. The support we received from Sonic Learning was sensational, and the resources they provided were thorough, providing the direction we needed in our first venture into Fast ForWord territory. Overall your team has been very supportive and it has been a good experience for our staff.”
Lee Musumeci & Noel Strickland, Principals, Challis ECEC & Challis Primary School

“At long last I don’t need to encourage my son to attend school. Fast ForWord has instilled in him a new joy of school and he can’t wait to get there each morning. He loves this very different approach to learning.”
Angela, Jack’s mother (Jack is in year six).

“Fast ForWord was fun! I really enjoyed being able to improve my concentration and to be able to hear the difference between sounds.”
Dylan, Year Seven Student

“I really enjoyed learning all the new games and being able to beat my own scores. It is very
different to learning in the classroom. I wish I could do it again.”
Aidan, Year Seven Student

“Louise’s teacher is calling Louise her ‘Star Student of the Year’ and said it is hard to believe that it is the same student!”
Michelle, Louise’s mother (Louise is in year five).

“After meeting with my daughter’s school and teacher, I was informed that it was the best money we could have spent. I was shown real results by the teacher of how my daughter had improved from a student that was struggling to a student that could work on her own and achieve the tasks required. It has certainly taken our daughter from being a student that was quickly being ‘pigeon holed’ as a special needs student to a student that is now happy and eager to learn and not afraid to give things a go, also improving in all areas of her school work.”
Steve, Katie’s father (Katie is in year four).
