Help your students succeed at school with the proven programme that develops language, learning and literacy skills.
As educators, we want our students to learn in the most effective way possible. The ability to understand and retain information heard in the classroom is crucial to each student’s academic success. But how do we help those students who struggle to concentrate and learn?
The Fast ForWord computer-based cognitive training programme is a fun, scientifically proven method of improving the foundations of learning. Based on over 30 years of neuroscience research, Fast ForWord is very different from other educational programmes in that it trains the participant’s brain to process information more quickly and correctly. With over 1,000,000 participants worldwide, the results speak for themselves.
A cost effective means of giving large numbers of children access to Fast ForWord is to run the programme in schools. The success of Sonic Learning’s 2006 WA School Trials and positive feedback from educators and parents clearly demonstrates the value of Fast ForWord in schools. Fast ForWord can be installed on as few as three computers (PCs or laptops) or up to 60, depending on the licensing arrangement chosen. Fast ForWord is installed on dedicated computer workstations and students share the use of these resources to play the games. Results are uploaded via the Internet to Sonic Learning for monitoring by our team of Health Professionals. Each student plays for 50 minutes per day, 5 days per week, for one school term, and it is this intensity of training that results in significant improvements in memory, attention, auditory processing, reading, and various related skills.
On a daily basis, each student’s results are uploaded via the Internet so our Fast ForWord team can monitor their results and progress. In addition, the school has access to an online Progress Tracker tool which provides student progress information and can generate reports as required for each student. Schools now have the option of purchasing the Reading Progress Indicator tool which provides valuable pre and post measurement data.
Schools have funded the programme in a variety of ways, including:
